Established in 1954, Zanotta is one of the major players of modern Italian design. In fact, Zanotta’s illustrious history is inseparable from that of the country’s design industry. It was one of the pioneering brands that provided designers with a platform to experiment, create and push the boundary of Italian furniture design, ushering the industry into its golden age during the mid-1950s and ’60s. It was also one of the first brands that championed and participated in the first edition of the Salone del Mobile in 1961.

Today, there are over 300 Zanotta pieces being displayed as part of permanent collections in some of the world’s most prestigious museums.

In April 2023 Zanotta merged with Cassina and became part of the Haworth Lifestyle Design group.

The history of FontanaArte started in 1932 in Milan from an idea by Gio Ponti, and today, after almost a century, it is one of the Italian companies that have written the “history of lighting and furnishing” in Italy and around the world.

A journey through the twentieth century alongside immense personalities in their genius and creativity such as Gio Ponti, Pietro Chiesa, Max Ingrand and Gae Aulenti who, in their role as artistic directors, guided the company and contributed to the birth of iconic lamps recognised throughout the world.

Still today, in the 21st century, the “Arte” that Ponti added to the company name is the key to an identity that exists beyond any single serial product. The timeless spirit, balance between art and industry, is the same that inspires FontanaArte‘s contemporary production, an equilibrium of clarity and durability.

GAN is a company belonging to Gandiablasco Group and is specialized in the production and marketing of rugs and accessories for indorr and outdoor use.

In GAN, rugs are not simply decorative objects, but rather a system of shapes and volumes that redefine the concept of habitability. All of the products are manufactured in India, by expert craftsmen who use some of the best natural fibers -cotton, jute, wool- as well as recycled fibers.
The artisanal manufacture of GAN collections supports the economic development of the area where they are made. Over the years, GAN has established a production system which, while preserving tradition, renews craftsmanship thanks to its connection with contemporary design. In this way, the artisan practice evolves and the design expands its horizons.

Most of GAN collections are made with natural materials such as wool and jute. Both are obtained with no animal suffering and are excellent insulators, which helps reduce energy consumption and reduce environmental noise. On the other hand, some of GAN’s collections are manufactured using recycled materials, such as Nuances by Patricia Urquiola and Diamond by Charlotte Lancelot.
The value of what is made by hand, slowly, piece by piece, is what differentiates and defines us.
