Skøyen Design Festival is an annual celebration of contemporary design, architecture, art, and interiors held in the Skøyen district of Oslo, Norway.
In recent years, Skøyen has consolidated its position as a vibrant center for creativity, design, art, fashion and architecture, and this is the second edition of the Design Festival meant to celebrate the increasing interest for this design based area of Oslo.
The festival has quickly become a gathering point for designers, artists, architects, retailers and trendsetters. The program offers inspiring exhibitions, engaging lectures, exciting panel debates and much more. In the evening, we gather for concerts and pleasant meetings, a perfect arena for both professional enrichment and social experiences. Come and experience Skøyen in a creative drive. Design Talk & Wine Experience with Boffi | DePadova
The Boffi | DePadova Studio in Oslo is located in the heart of Skøyen and has prepared two engaging events for Friday, September 4th:
1:00 PM — DePadova: 70 Years of Italian Design
2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of DePadova, a brand that has played an influential role in shaping Italian design from the mid-20th century to the present day.
An inspiring lecture is delivered exploring DePadova’s history and its strong connection with Scandinavia. The story begins in 1956, when the first seeds of the brand’s international journey were planted in Scandinavia.
4:00 PM — The Art of Wine with Gaggenau
Gaggenau is renowned for giving chefs the tools they need to master their craft. But the same level of precision can also be found in the world of wine.
In collaboration with Gaggenau it has been organized an exclusive wine experience at 4:00 PM, where sommelier Oda Ruud will guide the guests through the art of wine storage and explain how the right serving temperature can influence and enhance the tasting experience.

DePadova is pleased to announce that the international jury of the 29th ADI Compasso d’Oro Award has honoured D’Antan, design Raffaella Mangiarotti, with the prestigious Compasso d’Oro Award. With this award, D’Antan becomes part of the ADI Compasso d’Oro Historical Collection, a heritage of exceptional artistic and historical significance dedicated to Italian design. The award ceremony took place on 22 May 2026 at the ADI Design Museum in Milan.
Zanotta’s historical archive is enriched with projects by the renowned Turin-born architect Carlo Mollino. Unique works that find their place within the fully renovated Flagship Store, alongside new collections developed with Vincent Van Duysen, Studiopepe, Monica Armani, Simone Bonanni, Brogliato Traverso, Calvi Brambilla, Pierre Charpin, and Zaven. On the occasion of Milan Design Week, Zanotta has redesigned its Flagship Store on Via Durini: the spaces, spread over two floors, now feature new materials and a refreshed colour palette. Designed by Studio Calvi Brambilla, the dominant coffee tone interprets contemporary trends and is expressed across surfaces, textiles, and decorative objects; it is contrasted by a geometric check pattern, a tribute to Zanotta’s iconic Quaderna collection.
At the core of the exhibition are the works of the celebrated architect Carlo Mollino, an eclectic and visionary figure in 20th-century Italian design. Long committed to enhancing and reinterpreting the heritage of Italian design, Zanotta has recently obtained from the Italian State the exclusive license to produce 30 of the designer’s projects, strengthening its role as both custodian and interpreter of an extraordinary design legacy. Alongside pieces already in the collection, historically significant elements such as the Ardea CM armchair, the Fenis CM chair, the Gilda CM armchair, the Arabesco CM table, the Reale CM table and the Milo CM mirror (now also available in an XL version), Zanotta pays tribute to Mollino’s memory and formal research by expanding the collection. For the very first time, it presents the iconic Vertebra table: an emblematic project combining structural experimentation, artisanal refinement, and production innovation, faithfully preserving Mollino’s original vision through meticulous industrial manufacturing.
Zanotta renews its collaboration with Vincent Van Duysen by expanding the Fedrigo modular sofa system. The collection introduces new geometries, including curved modules and asymmetrical elements, designed to broaden compositional possibilities and further enhance comfort. Sustainability remains central, confirmed by the use of CIRCULARREFOAM® padding, in line with the company’s commitment to responsible and innovative solutions. The collaboration with Vincent Van Duysen continues with the new Campa table and chair, a complete dining set characterised by a strong, expressive clarity. The Campa collection plays on bold sculptural contrasts, achieving a balance between softness, structure, and proportion. The chair reflects Nordic stylistic influences dear to the Belgian designer: solid wood, chosen for its ability to express structure directly and honestly, embraces the softness of fabric or leather upholstery. It is available both with a padded backrest and without padding, offering different interpretations of comfort and formal lightness. At the same time, the table structure echoes the chair’s material language and is enhanced by a top available in leather or back-painted glass, resulting in a variety of colour options.
The Pianoalto sofa by Palomba Serafini Associati introduces new curved elements and sinuous forms, expanding compositional possibilities and creating a more dynamic dialogue with space. These innovations are complemented by a new CIRCULARREFOAM® padding, further improving comfort. Characterised by a distinctive design language, a bestseller from the Zanotta collection confirms its versatility, offering flexible solutions while maintaining a consistent balance between comfort, aesthetic quality, and sustainability. Completing the new additions for the living area are projects developed through new collaborations with Monica Armani, Brogliato Traverso and Studiopepe.
Monica Armani designs Rondevù, a new armchair with soft, welcoming lines, conceived to naturally adapt to both residential and hospitality/work environments. The distinctive curved padded backrest interprets contemporary comfort through a clean, enveloping gesture. Also available in the Rondevù Vis-à-Vis version, the project evolves into a configuration that encourages interaction, creating a fluid and convivial space designed for dialogue. Alongside the seating, Monica Armani also presents Alfarè, a collection of coffee tables available in two sizes. Made of painted concrete, they stand out for their subtly grooved surfaces and harmonious, essential shapes, expressing a strong material and sculptural presence.
The collaboration with Brogliato Traverso results in the Binata chair, characterised by clear geometric forms inspired by paired columns. The parallel legs supporting the backrest give the design an architectural presence, ensuring a clean and well-defined compositional balance. Crafted from solid wood, the chair strongly expresses its material identity, enhancing the quality and expressive potential of the wood. Its versatile nature makes it suitable for both residential and contract environments.
Studiopepe collaborates with Zanotta for the first time, creating Slice Me Nice, a collection of coffee tables that reinterprets the dialogue between metal surfaces and colour accents in a contemporary way. The project stands out for its use of colour as a graphic element applied to the edges of the top and the legs, becoming a distinctive feature that defines proportions and identity. The surfaces are made of Fenix® laminate with an aluminium finish, contrasted by coloured profiles that emphasise their perimeter. The result is a sophisticated and versatile piece, available in three sizes, which offers flexible compositional solutions adaptable to different interior configurations.
The Low Bol coffee table collection by Zaven is expanded with a new, lower model with a wider radius, ideal as a standalone piece or combined with other elements from the family. The living area is completed by a new version of the Riga-Riga sideboard by Pierre Charpin, now available in a monochromatic variant in burgundy or black.
Soft and welcoming, the Nagori bed by designer Simone Bonanni expresses a balance between solidity and lightness. The solid wood structure defines the character of the project, conveying stability and material presence, while generous forms and a curved upright element in continuity with the legs reinforce its formal identity. An unexpected sense of lightness emerges in the construction details: joints are designed so that elements almost touch, resting on one another with precise balance, giving the impression that everything is slightly suspended in space and time. The large headboard, resting on a horizontal beam, provides generous support and excellent comfort even when seated, making the Nagori bed a place to live in.
This year’s collection is complemented by the introduction of accessories, completing the presentation of new projects with refined detail. The Battito rug, designed by Pierre Charpin, draws inspiration from the act of drawing, developing through a rhythmic interplay of lines and intersections while maintaining the lightness of a pencil stroke on paper. Finally, the new Ettaro cushions echo the graphic rhythm of the rugs bearing the same name, designed by Calvi Brambilla: the two levels of volume create tridimensionality, producing a material and visual effect reminiscent of a ploughed field.
At 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen, Davide Groppi illuminates “Artistic Position in Space,” the collective project presented by File Under Pop in collaboration with Agape, Agapecasa, Garde Hvalsøe and V-ZUG.
Light as an artistic gesture within space: an exhibition born from a shared reflection on space as a lived experience — a dialogue connecting material, architecture, light and art. The sculptures of Sonja Ferlov Mancoba and the objects by Angelo Mangiarotti are part of this narrative, in which light becomes an element capable of revealing without imposing itself. Light conceived to interpret space, as a discreet presence that accompanies the work of art, captures its essence and conveys its emotion.

For Davide Groppi, illuminating art is an act of responsibility
Subtracting in order to reveal, concealing in order to disclose. Illuminating art is an exercise in synthesis: removing rather than adding, concealing the light source as much as possible. The lamp-object unveils, reveals, and leaves centre stage to the artwork itself. The work of Davide Groppi has always been distinguished by a profound connection with art, in which light creates a relationship between the artwork and the surrounding space. A sartorial light, designed each time with precision and respect, capable of enhancing the expressive power of the work without ever overpowering it.

From 10th to 12nd June 2026, Moroso took part in @3daysofdesign in Copenhagen as part of DESIGN / DIALOGUE, the exhibition curated by @arkjournal that each year brings together some of the most compelling voices in contemporary design.
Within the setting of Den Frie Museum, Moroso presented Gruuvelot, the latest evolution of the Gruuve seating system designed by @Patricia_urquiola: an organic landscape where volumes, materials and forms interact to create new relationships between body and space. Alongside Gruuvelot, the new Gruuve armchair and the Mangiafuoco coffee tables by @ZanellatoBortotto contributed to a narrative shaped by material research, craftsmanship and experimentation.
For Moroso participating in 3daysofdesign was an opportunity to engage in dialogue with an international community that sees design as a cultural practice, a means of connection, and an open field for exploration and innovation.
